What is Literature?

Literature may be defined as:
  •       Any piece of written work.
  •       An expression of the writer’s thoughts and feelings.
  •       A reflection of life.
What is  oral Literature?
Oral Literature include all literary work from ancient times which were handed down from one generation to another by words of mouth. At the time there was no written form of Literature.

Written Literature are literary works that are now in print and as such they can be preserved.
